In yet another move attacking Colorado’s law-abiding gun-owners, Governor Bill Ritter (D) has signed Senate Bill 34.
Under SB34, non-resident concealed handgun carry permits will no longer be honored if the permit holder is not a resident of the state that issued the permit. For example, a Florida permit issued to a non-resident will no longer be recognized in Colorado. No demonstrated need has been presented to justify SB34, legislation that will potentially threaten reciprocity agreements.
Please contact Governor Ritter and respectfully let him know you are unhappy about his approval of SB34 and will remember his decision during election season. Governor Ritter can be reached at (303) 866-2471 or email [email protected].
