The Indianapolis-Marion County City-County Council will hear public testimony on Proposal 174 on Tuesday, April 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the City-County Government Building, Room 260. This proposal will essentially ban lawful discharge of firearms within consolidated Indianapolis-Marion County!
Despite the fact that the City-County Council need only enforce existing state law to address the reckless discharge of firearms, this proposal will outlaw all hunting within the consolidated city-county limits, even where it is safe to do so. Moreover, the proposed ordinance for shooting ranges will subject shooters to myriad arbitrary and discretionary red tape and bureaucratic hoops just to gain "approval" in order to lawfully discharge a firearm.
Be sure that your voice is heard by attending the Rules and Public Policy Committee hearing on Tuesday, April 17, and alert your family members, friends, and fellow Second Amendment supporters to this critically important hearing!
