Senate File 50, introduced by Senator Cale Case (R-25), has been sent back to a Conference Committee to resolve differences between the Senate and House versions of the bill. SF 50 would permit bow hunters to carry a firearm during archery season for self-defense. In order to obtain support from Game and Fish Department, the author agreed to an amendment that would mandate a 3-year revocation of a hunting license should someone be convicted of taking an animal with a firearm during bow hunting.
