On Tuesday, February 13, by a vote of 14-1, the Senate Local Government Committee resoundingly approved House Bill 2547, sponsored by Delegate Charles Carrico (R-5).
This measure would clarify that, except for the purposes of hunting, localities may not regulate the possession of firearms on public roadways. Having already passed the House with overwhelming, bi-partisan support, House Bill 2547 is now heading to the Senate floor for consideration.
