Fairfax, VA-The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is announcing its endorsement of former Chattanooga Mayor Bob Corker for United States Senate in Tennessee.
“We are pleased to endorse Bob Corker for U.S. Senate because of his longstanding, steadfast and proven commitment to preserving our Second Amendment," said Chris W. Cox, Chairman of NRA - PVF. "We know he will protect the rights of law-abiding gun owners in Tennessee as a member of the United States Senate.”
Bob Corker has a history of defending the Second Amendment for law-abiding citizens. As Mayor of Chattanooga from 2001-2005, Corker effectively decreased the city’s crime rate. He did so by working with prosecuting authorities and law enforcement to strictly enforce national and local firearm laws and to aggressively arrest and prosecute the criminals who broke these laws. Consequently, in a short, three-year span, he effectively cut Chattanooga’s crime rate in half.
Corker is also a longtime hunter and sportsman, and he has been a trustworthy leader on matters affecting the pro-gun community. Corker has pledged to continue protecting the Second Amendment’s guarantee of our right to bear arms and reject attempts to limit the freedom of law-abiding gun owners.
Mr. Corker’s strong, pro-gun record has earned him an “A” rating and endorsement by NRA-PVF.
“Bob Corker will work tirelessly to preserve our freedom and hunting heritage for future generations,” concluded Cox. “I ask every Tennessee gun owner and NRA member to vote for Bob Corker on November 7th.”
