The Senate Criminal Justice Committee will be holding a hearing for proponent, opponent, and interested testimony on House Bill 347, Wednesday, May 17 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 121 of the State House.
This proposal will streamline an already successful “Right to Carry” law by creating statewide preemption for the regulation of firearms and ammunition – there by avoiding the current patchwork of firearm laws in Ohio. HB347 will also fix the most common complaint heard from the more than 60,000 license holders - the "plain sight" requirement for a firearm in a motor vehicle.
If you're unable to attend, please contact the Senate Criminal Justice Committee by calling Chairman Jim Jordan at (614) 466-7584.
