State wildlife managers are meeting to consider possible hunting season closures in Hurricane Katrina-affected parishes. Wildlife Division administrator David Moreland said biologists are surveying Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany and Washington parishes to determine the extent of damage and mortality of deer herds and other resident game animals, like rabbits and squirrels.
