Target shooting is a fast-growing sport for women, both in Michigan and nationwide. Nationally, the number has grown from about 2.33 million women in 1999 to 4.3 million last year, according to the National Sporting Goods Association. Women now make up about 22.5% of all target shooters, up from 17.9 in 1999.
