FAIRFAX, VA—The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) announced its endorsement of Rep. Johnny Isakson for U.S. Senate in Georgia.
“Johnny Isakson believes in the Second Amendment and the right of all law-abiding Americans to keep and bear arms. NRA-PVF recognizes this by giving him an ‘A’ rating, the highest grade given to a candidate. We urge our members and law-abiding Georgia gun owners to support Isakson,” Chris W. Cox, NRA chief lobbyist said.
In response to his endorsement, Johnny Isakson stated, "We need criminal control, not gun control. We should not only support gun ownership, shooting sports, and hunting, we should encourage them. One of our most cherished freedoms as Americans is our right to keep and bear arms, and we must never let anyone threaten it."
Cox continued, “A vote for Isakson is a vote for freedom. On November 2, vote freedom first – vote Johnny Isakson for U.S. Senate.”
Chris W. Cox serves as chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on candidate voting records, public statements, and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
