The 142nd Delaware General Assembly adjourned on July 1, with a victory for gun owners and sportsmen throughout the State. House Bill 164, which protects existing shooting ranges and hunting operations from nuisance suits that might otherwise be brought by persons who have recently moved into the area, was approved by the Senate and House of Representatives. The bill now goes to Governor Ruth Ann Minner (D) for her signature. A special note of thanks goes out to the bill’s prime sponsors, Representative Richard Cathcart (R-9) and Senator Nancy Cook (D-15), for their efforts in making this bill a reality.
