Clay and Platte counties will begin processing applications for carry permits, the sheriffs of both counties announced. Clay County Sheriff Paul Vescovo said he hoped to begin processing applications in mid-August. Platte County Sheriff Richard Anderson said he expected to release details of his county`s plans within two weeks.
