State wildlife officials hope a special hunt surrounding three of Iowa`s major metropolitan areas will take care of a fowl problem. Complaints about too many Canada geese at airports, businesses, golf courses and parks in Des Moines, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and elsewhere prompted the hunt. Residents and officials blame the birds for leaving behind feces and harassing people. The effort won`t completely take care of the problem because the geese are attracted to landscaped waterways and parks.
