State Sen. Kevin Miller (R-Harrisonburg) has written Virginia Attorney General Jerry Kilgore seeking the opinion after the Rockingham County School Board readopted a zero-tolerance policy against firearms on school grounds. The policy may be in conflict with a law passed during this year`s legislative session that allows unloaded firearms on school property if they are locked in the trunk of a car.
