THANK THOSE WHO SUPPORT "RIGHT TO CARRY" IN ALBUQUERQUE
At last night`s Albuquerque City Council meeting, Mayor Jim Baca and Councillor Alan Armijo tried to resurrect Ordinance 01-108, which would opt the city out of the state`s new "Right To Carry" law and prohibit city residents or visitors from legally carrying a concealed handgun for personal protection within city limits. As you recall, the council`s Finance & Government Operations committee had rejected the proposal on a 5-0 vote last month. The attempt to revive the issue for debate before the full council failed on a resounding 7-1 vote, with Armijo casting the lone YES vote.
Please take a quick moment to call or email the councilmembers who voted against Mayor Baca and his misguided ordinance and who voted for a uniform, statewide "Right To Carry" law that doesn`t discriminate against residents of or visitors to Albuquerque.
