Michigan: Right-to-Carry permit changes sought

What happened: An effort to bypass counties considered too slow or overly difficult in approving concealed handgun permits runs into trouble in the Senate Judiciary Committee. The measure would allow applicants to choose any county, not just where they live, in applying for the permits. State Sen. Mike Green, R Mayville and the chief sponsor, believes some gun boards drag their feet in approving the licenses, or put up additional barriers.
