The 2013 legislative session wrapped up in Salem this week after a contentious session filled with several anti-gun bills. These bills were a direct attack on the Second Amendment, aimed at law-abiding citizens – not criminals. These bills ranged from outright bans and registries of commonly owned firearms in House Bill 3200 to legislation aimed at restricting CHL holders with Senate Bills 347, 699 and 796, and criminalization of private firearm transfers without a background check in Senate Bill 700. With your help, all of these bills aimed at restricting the Second Amendment were defeated.
A special thanks to all dedicated NRA members and Second Amendment supporters who contacted their elected state officials on gun-related legislation. Your calls and e-mails made the difference!
