Today, Senate Bill 281 will have its final vote on the floor of the House of Delegates. If passed, this extremist anti-gun bill will go to the state Senate for a concurrence vote on the House amendments. It is critical that you contact Senate President Mike Miller and strongly urge him to oppose Senate Bill 281. This is Senator Miller’s final chance to protect the Second Amendment rights of Maryland residents.
Senate Bill 281 is a misguided attempt at preventing crime that will inevitably only punish law-abiding gun owners for exercising our fundamental right to keep and bear arms. Only a single clause in this 50+ page bill would actually affect criminals - who, by definition, violate the law. Please contact Senator Mike Miller and politely urge him to protect your Second Amendment rights by OPPOSING concurrence with the House-amended Senate Bill 281.
