The Personal Protection Act (PPA) is still working its way through the legislative process.  Your NRA is working tirelessly with legislators to determine the final details of the proposal.  With time winding down before the summer legislative recess and budget negotiations taking a significant role in the process, it is essential that you contact your state legislators and remind them that the PPA needs to be a top priority for them to get to the Governor before they leave for the summer.  Your safety and that of your family is too important to postpone!

Hearings have been held on Assembly Bill 69 and Senate Bill 79, Castle Doctrine, so please express your support for this critically important self-defense legislation when you contact your legislators regarding the PPA.  Please ask that they also support NRA-recommended amendments to these bills in order to make the final product a stronger law.  Castle Doctrine ensures that you don't have to second guess yourself when defending your home from intruders.  It also provides civil immunity for good citizens who are acting defensively against violence.

It is essential that you contact your state Representative and state Senator and urge them to support not only the Personal Protection Act but AB 69 and SB 79 throughout the legislative process.  To contact your state legislators, call the Legislative Hotline at 800-362-9472 or click here and find individual contact information for your state Senator and state Representative.
