Senate Bill 283, the Castle Doctrine bill, which removes your duty to retreat in the face of attack, is being held hostage by the members of the Alabama State House of Representatives. The members of the House are refusing to take a vote on the bill because of unrelated political motivations, resulting in your right to self-defense being put on hold.
Your State Representative needs to hear from you. Please call your Representative and let him or her know that the members of the House should stop playing politics with the rights of law-abiding citizens. Remind him or her that you are a constituent and to take a vote on SB 283.
