Chicago restaurateur Larry Schwamb, 70, confronted by a knife-armed robber who grabbed $2100 in receipts, chased the robber from his Loop restaurant with his .25 automatic, fired a shot in the air, and forced the man to halt and drop his loot. Police marched both robber and Schwamb to jail. There both were fingerprinted and mugged. Schwamb was charged with having a gun not registered under Chicago law [although registered under State law] and with firing it illegally.
